30 May Lisbon, Colors of the City
It was the first time that I had been in Lisbon. As always, I was excited to explore a new city. After leaving my luggage my adventures in the streets had begun. I walked, walked and walked and as every minute passed, I had a huge smile on my face. Oh, how this Portuguese capital impressed me so much! The narrow cobblestone streets, ceramic covered buildings, the street-art and of course the positive energy exuded by the locals, are only a few of the great things this city has to offer. The one thing that captured my heart and kept it racing were the pastel colors throughout the city. Spotting these hues is a mood changer! It is as if you are in this imaginary city and everything is made of candy! I wanted to enter every single building, to wander around, but I was left happily curious of what is there inside.
During my day, I sat down on the hill in Graça (Miradouro de Graça), watched the colors dancing with the sun and the sky… what a prefect view! I would like to go back for a visit as there is much more to discover. As I write this article, flashbacks come to my mind and I am left daydreaming of the colors of Lisbon.
Must Visit Places: MAAT (Museu de Arte, Arquitetura e Tecnologia), O Eurico (a casual fish restaurant for lunch in Santa Justa), Sr. Lisboa (a Portuguese restaurant for dinner in São José).
