Cotton House Hotel

An oasis in the middle of Barcelona’s city center, the Cotton House Hotel offers luxury, simplicity and excellent service to all its guests and visitors.

Emblematic spiral staircase

Now a five-star hotel, the 19th century neoclassical building was the former headquarters of the Cotton Textile Foundation. Taking into consideration the historical context and drawing influences from its original elements, acclaimed interior designer Lázaro Rosa-Violán refurbished and redesigned the hotel into the sophisticated and modern space we know today.

The highlight of the hotel is its spiral staircase built in 1957, as it remains a sculptural piece giving it a unique quality.

The hotel houses 83 rooms ranging through different categories from the Panama to the Damask Suite. The design prioritizes maximum comfort: Egyptian cotton sheets & towels, honeycomb bathrobes and amenities made by 100% natural products from the area.

As evoked by the space, each room’s style is inspired by the black, white and sepia of the cotton plant.

Guest services

The Cotton House Hotel continuously breaks the barriers of a traditional 5-star hotel and always pushes for a different experience. They have created a spot called the Gossypium, a place where instead of the standard concierge service, the “gossyps” learn more about each guest’s interests and tailor-make their trip to them.

The library is another stunning room beside the Gossypium, where you can kick back with a book or catch-up on some work. This space can also be the perfect spot for meetings and events.

Finally, the 300m2 terrace, where you will be surrounded by lush vegetation and a relaxing atmosphere. Perfect for a lunch, an afternoon coffee or a cocktail at night. Locals flock to this space on certain Saturdays for their event the Algodonera Market Lab, where local artists, designers and creatives expose their latest creation as you listen to those DJ’s beats.
