09 May Iberostar Paseo de Gràcia
One of Spain’s major hotelier leaders, the Iberostar Hotels and Resorts, has finally opened its first hotel in Barcelona and it was worth the wait. By electing an old unused bank building on the Plaça Catalunya, the Iberostar Paseo de Gràcia has the luxury of being located in the center of the city.
The designers opted for a fusion of modern and classy, for example, by subtly using the color gold without being too flashy. From the entrance, you will feel a sense of privilege and luxury that not many other 4-star hotels can offer.
When choosing the Iberostar Paseo de Gràcia, you should certainly decide on one of the “City View” rooms which will offer you an incredible spot over the heart of the city. Its 119 rooms are modernly furbished and use advanced technologies, for example with a wall encrusted television giving you access to a wide range of control in your room and experiences at the hotel.
For exclusive guests staying in two of the hotel’s duplex suites, the Tower Suite and the Barcelona Suite, they have the privilege of being situated in the roof tower. With over 100 square meters, these two suites may be the most coveted rooms of all Barcelona, known for their views and the unique feeling of being alone at the top of the city.
In summer, the roof top will be a nice spot to have a quick swim in a typical Barcelona-style plunge pool and to enjoy a drink at the end of the day at the Sky Bar. Unfortunately, the hotel has preferred not to house a restaurant and maintain its status for privileged guests. However, being in the city center it won’t be difficult to find a multitude of gastronomic options.
Iberostar has remodeled the face of Plaça Catalunya and has rejuvenated the space by offering its high-quality touch to the area, something that has been missing for many years.
